I Saw Jesus at the Farmer's Market on Saturday.....

I did, I swear! Check him out, handing out loaves of bread!

The guy with the fishes was across the street....

So, we visited our old stomping grounds at the Edmond's Street Market. (Oi, how much schlepping and hauling did we do at this show in the old days?!)

Then we went a few blocks East to visit our friend Todd Waddell (visual merchandising GENIUS, if I haven't said that in print before) and his lovely store, Bountiful Home. (No, not THAT Bountiful Home. Sue Balmforth owns that one in Venice, California. This one is decidedly smaller and less Hollywood!) His store and events are cream of the crop stuff, every detail tended to.

We walked thru his lovely little shop into the backyard and ...... Ahhhhhhhh..... perfection. Stopped right smack in the center of the stairs to snap this photo! Then Todd offered his famous welcoming hugs, making us practically feel like visiting royalty. (Which he does for EACH and every visitor....) What a host!

We were thrilled by the beauty and the perfect day (ominous thunderclouds notwithstanding...) and visited some of our favorite creative friends:

Patricia, of Tippy Stockton Designs, had another GORGEOUS booth, just like at Funky Junk Sisters, filled with her charming jewelry and artwork. And she is just the sweetest girl!

Beth and Lisa of Salvage Studio were there, with a plethora of incredibly creative ideas and products made from reclaimed, recycled, reinvented STUFF. I am always inspired by them! Raoul, Beth's hubby was there, lurking in the shade, with a twinkle in his eye as he watched the stuff selling - which meant it wasn't going back home to his house!!!! ;0)

Bob wandered around snapping amazing photos like this of the marvelous plants & flowers all over the yard - to be expected, since Todd was the visual director at Ravenna Gardens (sniff, miss their stores) for years, after being with Nordy's visual department for a lifetime. (Even tho he doesn't look a day over 30. Really. Disgusting.) He is amazingly talented - legendary, even - and yet so likeable. And he's blushing right now as he reads that!! Apparently, he's been harangued into speaking at the Pacific Market Center for the Seattle Gift Show next month. (Long story, ask him HIS version of it!) But he doesn't have a blog.

Do I need to 'bully him into blogging' as Coleen calls it?! I know we'd all love to see photos and read his decor tips. Heck, just his loyal tribe of hug-loving women would enjoy it, let alone the throngs of decor devotee's that he'd reach. So, Todd, I know you are reading this..... what do you say? Let me design a blog for you, so you can fill it up with wonderful inspiration for all of us out here in Blogland! Beth, Lisa... help me out here....

UPDATE!!! Todd jumped into the pool feet first - go here to visit his brand new blog! And I didn't have to bully him, after all!

You have a really cute blog. So glad I found it. My husband & I really luv getting away from Big Bear and going to the Beverly Hills area. One of the reasons is there are so many Farmers Markets close there. Thanks for sharing. Hope you can stop by soon. Connie

Golly gee whiz Todd - take Deb up on her offer! She is a blogger like no other - she keeps three of them going strong.

It was such a treat to see you and Bob at the Bountiful bash!

I agree Deb,
Todd you need a blog! Just think of the virtual following you would have...I would even put you on my favorites list! By the way, the Vintage Summer Garden Market was so much fun! Thanks for letting me be a part of it.
