I made this sweet little 'Santa' cap for myself... and yes, I cheated. ;0)
I sewed the burlap cone, and then popped it over a red velvet and white fur hat! Then I added vintage ribbon and one of my vintage rhinestone pins to bling it up a bit. It sits on my velvet vintage jewelry box (that was created by the lovely miss Cindy for one of the Flourishes events) when I'm not wearing it... and I do. Wear it, that is!

Mmmmmhmmmmmmn.
I told you I wasn't about to put all of my seashells away this year! Now that we live here at the beach, my lifetime collection has a permanent home in these glass jars & bowls. They move around the house from season to season, and now they are in our room. I added a bit of white faux foliage and some silver balls with white snowflakes on them to coordinate with the rest of our home's decor. Simple and very serene.
This was a late addition: the eight foot tall vintage white faux tree I found at our local thrift shop for FIVE BUCKS last week. ;0) It's not just tall, my friends, it's just plain BIG! Next year it will be our main tree, decorated to within an inch of it's life. But this year, it will remain delightfully plain right here in our sanctuary. Sticking out from the wall. And I will try to stop running into it in the middle fo the night. I'm paying for my obsessions, I tell ya'....
