What My Best Friend Taught Me

You can never say 'I Love You' enough.

You can never have too many friends.
To be known completely, and accepted anyway, is one of the greatest blessings in life.
God and a good friend can get you through ANYTHING.
Community is where you make it.
You never meet a stranger - only potential friends.
Memories are precious, and should be enjoyed often.
Choose Faith, not Fear.
Prayers are always answered. Not always how we want them to be.

A friend can save your life with a daily phone call and a lot of prayer.

Dance. Even if a room full of people or the world is watching, Dance.
Root for the people you believe in. Even when they lose.
Take Chances. Take Risks. Don't always listen to what 'they' tell you is best.
Encourage others. Build them up. Give them hope.
Offer an ear, a shoulder, a hand, and a prayer to those in need.
Accept an ear, a shoulder, a hand, and a prayer when you need them.

Be fiercely loyal - to your partner, your family, your friends, your team, your school. Have pride.

Redheads have more fun than anyone. And that legendary temper? It's not a myth.
Road trips are fun, no matter how old you are.
Most country CDs are made to be blared at full volume and sung out loud to. Even if it's off key.
They are also made to cry to when you are sad.
Wear a fun hat once in awhile. [actually, I taught HER that one]
Enjoy good wine and gourmet food often, not just on special occasions.

When your best friend tells you something's not right, LISTEN. Sooner rather than later.

If you can't trust someone with the little things, you can't trust them with the big things.
Always be honest. Be kind - but be honest.
Don't lie to protect people. Don't lie to protect yourself. Be honest.
Be brave. Be courageous. Be strong. And when you can't be, call your friend.
Be grateful for what is - no matter what it is. It's a lesson.
Don't try to change others. Change your attitude and view instead.

Love is best expressed through actions, not words. But say the words, too.

Never be afraid to say a kind word or to smile.
Forgive. Even without an apology. Not for them - for you. Let go.
If you hurt someone, apologize. If you're not sure if you hurt them, ask.
When you need space, take it. When someone else needs space, give it.
Go around the world when you get the chance. Go home whenever you can.
You never know how long you have, or how many chances you have. Don't waste time.

LIVE while you are alive. LOVE with all you have.

Moments of Grace come just when you need them, in the midst of tears and the grip of fear.
The worst day of your life comes without notice. And it will come more than once.
So does the best day of your life. Over and over again.
Even on the bad days, you can laugh.
Mourn the sad, celebrate the good, forgive the worst, seek the best, and never give up.

A life well lived is completely about how many lives you made better for having been here...

God never fails. Faith is never lost. Hope can be regained.
Lives can be renewed. Dreams can come true. Love never ends.
Thank you, LoriAnn... thank you.
