There is an old hymn that I remember from church...
"As I walk through the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses
The sweet voice I hear, whispered in my ear, a song of peace imposes...
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
and He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there, no other has ever known..."
I have been blessed to have walked in some beautiful gardens lately,
to stand on some lovely beaches, and to sit in the warm sunshine.
I consider this quite a gift, believe me.
In every instance, as I try and still myself - my body, mind, soul, and spirit -
to just enjoy the serenity and beauty of my surroundings,
I feel God's Spirit with me.
"How do you know that's what it is?" you might ask?
I feel the warmth of the sun, the kiss of the sea breeze, the softness of the sand on my toes.
I hear the song of the birds, the symphony of the waves at the shore, the laugh of a child.
I feel a lightening of my spirit, a healing in my heart, a mending of my soul,
just as surely as I could feel arms wrapping about me in a hug, I feel this.
just as surely as I could feel arms wrapping about me in a hug, I feel this.
It is the presence of God Himself.
Once again, in the midst of the storm that rages in my life, He is there...
to carry me, to whisper to me, to remind me that I am not alone.
Even though I AM alone, by choice.
For the many supportive comments, emails, and messages
that so many of you have sent me, I thank you from my whole heart.
I see Him in YOU, too ;0)

Beautiful photos, Deb. I believe I see sunshine -- I've heard of that! Wonderful post.
So refreshing to hear that you are being renewed by God's love, creation and promises.
2 Corinthians 4:15-17
The Message (MSG)
13-15We're not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, "I believed it, so I said it," we say what we believe. And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and to God's glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise!
16-18So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever.
Hugs! Florence
