I've been painting my...um, ears....off getting ready for this one, and it's been a kind of weird 'time warp' kind of thing for me. Over ten years ago, my business was painting - all painting, all the time, on walls, furniture, accessories - and this is like stepping back into another life. Strange, but fun. (And please forgive me for this if I sound a tidbit cocky, but I am soooooo much better at it now than I was then!) This blue table is just....dreamy. It looks like a Swedish antique from the 1800's, I swear.

And that fabulously fanciful loopy curly mirror? Yeah, well ask Mr. Deb about that, will ya'?!

It was an old dresser mirror from the 70's - dark walnut faux-stained plastic (uh huh) and he literally forbade me from buying it. OhnogirlfriendyoudidNOTsaythat, yesIdid. I gave him that look, grabbed it and said 'Have some FAITH in me, huh?'. He didn't. I swear, sometimes....(Tracey, he is NOT perfect!!!!) ANYWAY, when I was done workin' my magic on it, I let him see it. He was speechless. (This is monumental, people). He then proceeded to do the 'I'm not worthy' bow repeatedly, saying over and over 'I WAS WRONG!' Ah, I love the sweet smell of success! (Proving him wrong once in awhile isn't so bad, either!)
In the midst of my staging all of this to pack the car and head over to Faded Elegance, my daughters stopped by with my grandson. And he discovered something: himself!

Too cute~ and after seeing my dream blue table, I'd have faith in anything you said you might even be able to do!
Your grandson is just sooo precious. I think he looks a bit like his grandma too!!!
Happy Mother's Day,
Blessings,
Sher
That little man is toooo adorable!!!!!!!
Deb, I did the same thing a few years back with a 70's plastic mirror! You'll see it in my entryway when you get here...mine is black. Uh huh, painting is the best thing a girl can do to a plastic mirror frame!
Oh, and I love, love, love that table!!!!!! Is it a drop leaf?!
